Dr Michela Sorensen
GP & Rural & Women’s Health Advocate
Dr Michela Sorensen is a Sydney-based GP, with extensive experience working in rural and isolated locations. She is passionate about building empowered and thriving communities and believes that helping remote communities access reliable health information, is the best pathway to do it.
She has a keen interest in women’s health, paediatrics, fertility and mental health. In particular, she’s focused on the challenges facing young women in the digital age, such as the pressures of ‘hustle culture’ and beauty standards displayed on social media and she works extensively with women aged 14-30 to enhance resilience and mental wellbeing.
Over the past few years Michela has built a reputation for breaking down medical information into easily digestible messages relevant to everyday Aussies. Her warmth and trustworthiness have made her a favourite with the media and audiences everywhere with thousands connecting with her on social media and reading and watching her interviews.
Michela is available for media interviews and appearances, and PR campaigns.
