The Suite Life - February 2023

I don’t know about you, but for me the start of 2023 has carried a real buzz of excitement. After a relaxing summer break we’ve all returned to our desks raring to go, and pumped about putting our big plans for the year into action (details to come… watch this space!). It feels like it’s going to be a terrific year.

At TLS, one of our big goals – this year, and every year – is helping to improve health literacy among Australians – and it feels like that’s never been more needed. In January we launched our inaugural Top 10 Health Trends report in collaboration with some of our experts. Covering everything from the impacts of climate change on our health, to the rise of women's sport, this comprehensive report makes some fascinating healthcare predictions and shines a light on areas of future growth in the lifestyle space. It’s well worth a read.

We’re also committed to going big with speaking engagements this year, getting our talented experts front and centre at key events across Australia. That means we’re getting right behind Shelly Horton’s audacious challenge to MC 52 events this year – one per week. Go, Shelly! If you think Shelly would be a great addition to your event, please email me @Sim.

Finally, a huge congratulatory hug to Molly Taylor who represented Australia in the celebrated Dakar Rally last month. In her second spin on this gruelling track, Molly proved once again that she’s one of Australia's most exciting motorsport talents.

Til next month,

Sim

GP Dr Preeya Alexander – whose on-point videos sharing essential wellbeing advice continues to be a big drawcard on Instagram – has changed her social media handles from The Wholesome Doctor to @dr.preeya.alexander. Incidentally, it’s going to be a big year for Preeya, whose first book ‘Eat, Sleep, Play, Love’ will be released in May this year, just in time for Mothers Day. If like us you can't wait to get a copy, you can pre-order today.

One in three Aussie marriages end in divorce, but despite it being such a common experience, marriage separation is still a confusing process to navigate. Recently our creative team worked with divorce advisor Jacqueline Wharton, an alum of The Academy, to create an online course helping people move through the practical and emotional stages of divorce more smoothly. Jacqueline got a big plug in Mamamia recently, and if you’re going through this arduous process yourself, her Good Separation and Divorce Masterclass could make a big difference.
